H&R Block

Nine years ago, Jennifer Puentes took H&R Block’s Income Tax Course. Today, she works hard at her Amarillo, Texas, office to ease the burden of taxpayers by providing her clients with a toolkit of digital options.

“Not everyone has the time to call, make an appointment, and sit and wait for their preparer to start and complete their return,” Puentes said. “H&R Block’s tools are user friendly with self-serve options online, and if they get stuck, they can switch to Online Assist to speak with a tax pro.”

Even with clients who visit an office, there are virtual options to help complete any tax return that is not completed on the first visit. The process saves clients from having to find the time to go back to the office. With COVID still being a concern for some, clients can set up a video consultation from the comfort of their own homes. Clients are still able to interact with their preparer in the same way they would in an office setting.

“If we want to reach each client, we need to be able to help them how they want to be helped,” said Puentes.

Puentes maintains clients by building trust and ensuring clients will return by showing them she can handle any tax situation/issue that a client may bring.

“Trust is built by showing expertise and finding the best outcome for each client. With all of the resources H&R Block has to offer for both clients and tax pros, there is no reason not to take our time and make sure we are doing everything right. Our clients come to us because we are experts at what we do, let’s show them that they came to the right place.”
