Every tax season we get hundreds of questions, but many have answers only a few clicks away. That’s why we’ve prepared this guide for you. Whether you’ve already filed your tax return or still have to do it, you can find the answers to your questions regarding tax preparation with this list of resources.

If you already filed your tax return

After you have filed your return, you can use our where’s my refund tool to check the status of your refund. Once your tax return is accepted, you can follow it through three stages: Return Received, Refund Approved and Refund Sent.

Keep in mind that regardless of how you filed your tax return, once the IRS has it, there is very little your tax pro can do to accelerate the process.

Amended returns: If you somehow missed some necessary information to be submitted in your return or you find an error, you should determine if you must file an amended return. The IRS offers tips about when to amend a return and when not to.

You can also follow up the status of your amended return through the site Where is my amended return?

IRS or H&R Block Spanish Customer Service: If any of these links don’t give you the answers to your questions, you can contact the IRS through the hotline 1-800-829-1040, and select option 2 to hear the menu in Spanish. You can also contact customer service at H&R Block 1- 800 HRBLOCK (1-800-472-5625) and select option 8 for attention in Spanish.

Haven’t filed or have questions?
